Packing
My list is getting checked off for the last time! This is page 4 of 6! For months I have been buying items to pack hiding them away in the suitcases still in shopping bags. Today, John and Parker sorted all of my purchases into piles of food, medicines, toiletries, toys, and baby items. It was fun to see them all come back out of bags and then to start placing them in suitcases that are actually about to go to China! Believe it or not, there is still plenty of room for our clothing and I was encouraged to find that one of the bags only weighs 27 lbs. so far! There is a 44 lb. weight limit. Gracie Lin, we are on our way in minus four days!!

Oh Paula...really...I look at these pictures and have to fight back tears. You guys have waited so long for this. I am thrilled that you are finally going to meet your baby girl, I am thrilled that you get to do all things pink and girly and I love that I get to live vicariously through you. You have waited so long for this...and how blessed this baby girl is...to have parents who have been praying for years...before she was even born. Adoption is full of joy and grief because there are two sides to the story...but right now, I am feeling so joyful for all of you...praying that maybe some day we will be able to bring home a sweet daughter of China. I will be praying for you as you travel and for your adjustment home...for wisdom, endurance and a safe and smooth transition for all!!!!
