Pinewood Derby

Parker's pinewood derby was Saturday and he enjoyed it so much. He really got into making the car this year and kept on top of us until we got it done. The car was called "Wood Runner." It was a thunderbird body shape with a camouflage skin. In the video here, he came in first. He came in 27th out of 93 over all. He felt very good about the work he put in! We are so proud that he got excited about it and stuck to getting it finished!!

Six Months Old

I can't believe that a half of a year has gone by already!! Carter was 17.1 lbs. and 26 in. long at his dr. visit. He was so less than thrilled about the shots! Anytime something isn't going his way, he is VERY vocal - I don't think Parker EVER cried that loud, ever! Other than that, this is the happiest baby I have ever known. He just smiles all the time. He has a new love for the dog and she for him I think. She walks up to kiss him all the time and he just giggles and she get reprimanded for trying to kiss the baby. Carter is also very into kissing. He gets that big wide open mouth and leans into you to give you a big wet droolly kiss on the cheek! It's so sweet. Sometimes when I sit and talk to him while I'm holding him he will suddenly throw himself into my chest and snuggle up like he's giving me a big hug. Mostly, I think Carter adores his big brother. He watches Parker's every move and smiles at him. Soon, he's going to learn to get Parker's attention. Occasionally he squeals out and gets Parker to turn around but usually he just smiles quietly. There just aren't words to express our joy - we can't believe how blessed we are with these two precious boys!

First Tooth

Jan 8, that first tooth finally broke through! This was just too cute to resist! No tooth view but a funny, funny face! When he raises those eyebrows, it just cracks me up!

Carter Sitting

Carter has been so close to sitting up and we decided that Jan. 1 was the official day he sat and didn't immediately topple over. He no longer has ANY interest in lying down when it's play time. He wants to be sitting up so that he can explore and watch what's going on around him!
